Job Description:

Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, has an opening for a Technical Service Representative at our corporate office in Bryan, OH.

With production facilities in Ohio, Georgia and Mexico, we service our customers both nationwide and internationally by designing and manufacturing cutting-edge engineered products.

Scope and Responsibilities:

The Technical Service Representative provides technical support, troubleshooting and repair instructions via telephone and computer. This person maintains the required departmental paperwork, and stays current with all products, parts sales, pricing, and policies; as well as administer the warranty program within Bard policy.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides technical support via the telephone and computer by troubleshooting problems, assisting with equipment application questions, suggesting parts and/or

    offering quick, quality technical advice.

  • Refers telephone callers, if needed, to most appropriate contact for quality service.

  • Receives, requisitions, processes, and/or routes orders when situation requires.

  • Responds to customer complaints in an efficient, professional manner.

  • Shares responsibility for processing paperwork for returned parts and equipment, and issuing labor allowances based on company policies.

  • Keeps informed on all Bard equipment and parts which requires a complete in-depth understanding of the total product line.

  • Accurately quotes customers with parts costs and availability which requires understanding the computer system, Bard policies, and the Bard marketing network.

  • May occasionally need to create PowerPoint training presentations and present them to a technical group in a training atmosphere.

  • All other duties, as assigned

Experience and Skills:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/abilities:

Minimum High School diploma; Associates degree in HVAC or related field preferred; or 7+ years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work and focus in a high paced environment.

  • Experience troubleshooting HVAC or related equipment required

  • Excellent oral communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and/or meet deadlines

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
